A quick word on finishes:
Basecoat colors need a clear topcoat for shine and protection.
Gloss enamels dry hard and shiny by themselves — no clear coat required.
All colors need a primer over bare plastic — I recommend SUPERprimer gray.
Best sprayed at 20–30 PSI using a .3 or .5 needle.

SUPERprimer Black
Great under metals and dark colors, and perfect as a substitute for BL-1 under pearl midcoats. When left bare it dries to a flat sheen.
SUPERprimer Gray
Perfect for all around painting, and works with all colors. My go-to for all paint jobs.
SUPERprimer Red
Good for oxide red finishes (car underbodies and military equipment), plus it can be used as a base for rust tone finishes.
SUPERprimer White
Good for super light colors and a must for Neon colors.
SUPERprimer Pink
Good for bright reds.
SUPERprimer does like a light coat and a short dry time between coats, but covers well, leaves fine details, and works over metal, plastic, and resin.
